Puck Passer Pro On the Ice

The Puck Passer Pro is perfect to practice on ice skill training. It can be used before, during, or after practice, to get in those extra repetitions and practice specific positional skills.

How many times during a game do you see players miss scoring opportunities because of bad shots or cause turn overs because of missed passes?  The bottom line is that it happens all of the time!  The simple reasons are lack of practice and lack of repetition. For most teams, ice time is limited. It is difficult for coaches to incorporate all of these individual skills into every day practice. In fact, it is nearly impossible to work with every player individually. Players must take that responsibility onto themselves to develop the specific skills they need to focus on.

When players practice game time scenarios, the skills become routine. The more you practice, the more basic the skills seem. Everything becomes muscle memory. When the puck comes your way in a game, you don't even have to think. You just perform!

It is often the best players, or the players working to be the best, that stick around when the rest of the team goes into the locker room. The Puck Passer Pro gives players the opportunity to practice any skill, even if there is no one else on the ice.

Puck Passer Pro Hockey Training Facility

If you are the forward who wants to practice catching passes in the slot and scoring goals on the power play, now you can. Place the machine on the side of the net and get into position. If you are the defenseman who wants to practice receiving passes on the blue line and taking slapshots, place the machine on the boards and practice receiving passes from your winger. You can even place the puck passer on the blue line and practice receiving passes from your defense partner. Next time you are open on the point, call for the puck confidently and put it in the back of the net!

If you want to practice taking one timers after face-offs in the offensive zone, place the puck passer on the face-off dot and get ready to take some repetitions.

The Puck Passer Pro is also perfect for private sessions,

individual training, and goalie instruction.  For training lessons, coaches can now focus on instruction rather than passing pucks.  It gives coaches the opportunity for hands-on dynamic instruction.

The Puck Passer Pro gives goalie coaches the chance to practice additional skills and drills. With an extra passer on the ice, goalies can now practice guarding the posts and sliding across the net to the shooter, when there is only one instructor on the ice. The Puck Passer Pro helps make training more interactive and gives coaches the opportunity to be more creative.

The adjustable interval feature is also a great way to incorporate passes into skating drills. The interval can be set anywhere in between 2 and 16 seconds. The warning light will start to flash two seconds before the puck is passed from the machine. During the interval, you could skate patterns or perform battle drills with a partner until you see the two second warning light.   When the warning light starts to to flash, skate into position to catch the pass. This is a great way to practice your reaction time on the ice. For more on ice training drills please visit our training vault.
